UNLV, University of Nevada Las Vegas has made a reputation for itself in the fields of engineering, English, Hotel Administration, and Management Information Systems, with Hotel Admin being widely recognized as one of the top in the country.  It is located about 1 1/2 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.

The campus performing arts center includes the Judy Bayley Theatre, Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, Alta Ham Fine Arts Complex, Lee and Thomas Beam Music Center, and The Black Box Theatre.

University of Nevada Las Vegas is home to the UNLV Rebels Men's and Women's baseball, basketball, football, tennis, soccer, swimming & diving, and volleyball teams, and golf program.  UNLV is is a member of the Mountain West Conference in the NCAA's Division I. UNLV's men's football team plays the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) for the Fremont Cannon each year in the Battle for Nevada. UNLV's men's soccer team competes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.  UNLV athletic playing facilities inlude Cox Pavilion, McDermott Complex, Sam Boyd Stadium, and the Thomas & Mack Center.
